Hey y’all, it’s your boy Matt here. I’ve always been a fan of hot sauce, and I put that sh*t on everything. But one time, I made the mistake of trying to spice up my hamster’s food with a little bit of hot sauce. Let’s just say, things did not go well.

I immediately rushed him to the vet, and let me tell you, the vet was not amused. She scolded me for being such a dumbass and told me that hot sauce is definitely not safe for hamsters (or any small animal for that matter).

So, lesson learned the hard way: hot sauce is a big no-no for hamsters. But is that true for all small animals? Let’s dive into the details and find out.
